- Zemble.com is an incredibly sophisticated, yet ridiculously easy-to-use tool that helps you interact with your social networks through the power of text messaging.
- What does it do?
- Zemble lets you effortlessly text message large groups of friends while on the go, receive breaking news, weather updates, sports scores and more, organize your life with robust event-management features, and much, much more.
- How much is it?
- Zemble is, and will always be, completely free. However, you should check to see if your mobile carrier will charge you for sending or receiving text messages – just so you know, they probably will.
Text Message Basics
- How do I send a text message?
- Almost every mobile phone built after the 18th century allows its user to send a text message – you can be assured your phone will let you send a text message.
- How much does it cost to send a text message?
- Zemble will never charge you for sending a text message. However, your mobile carrier will charge you your normal text messaging rate.
- How do I send a text message to an email address?
- Virtually every mobile phone capable of sending a text message to a phone number, is also able to send a text message to an email address. If you can’t figure out how to send your message to an email address, either check the phone’s settings, or look at the phone’s user manual.
My Groups
- How do I create a group?
- Once you login, click on the Groups link, then click the "Create New Group" button. The new group form will appear where you will be asked to give the group a name, a brief description, and add your friends. When you hit save, we'll send you a message from the group so you can put it in your phone's contact book. Its just that easy!
- How do I send a message to my group?
- Simply send a text message to [groupname]@Zemble.com. For example, if you have a group you named "party", you would send a message to party@zemble.com.
- How do I reply to a group?
- If you want to reply to the sender of the message, just hit reply on your phone, type your message, and hit send!
If you want to reply to everyone in the group, hit reply on your phone, and begin your message with "!" (an exclamation point)
- My friend added me to a group that I don't want to receive messages from – what can I do?
- On your My Groups page, you can manage the groups your friends have put you in. There, you can select whether a group is "on" or "off" – on if you want to receive texts, off if you don't!
- Can I send pictures, video, or audio to the people in my groups?
- Not yet, but soon, we promise!
- Can I put a friend who is not a Zemble user in one of my groups?
- Yes – you can send messages to friends who are not Zemble users yet if you know their mobile phone number.
- I love Zemble, but I want to take a break for the night – how do I do that?
- Just send a message to hold@Zemble.com - you won’t receive any messages from Zemble for the next 12 hours.
Communities
- What type of communities can I join?
- The topic of Zemble communities are limited only by the imaginations of Zemble users!
There are two levels of privacy available for Zemble Communities – they are:
Public Communities – These are communities that everyone can see and everyone can join.
Private Communities – These are communities that everyone can see the basic info for, though private content, such as members, messages, and comments, are only visible to members of the community. Additionally the community owner must approve everyone who requests to join.
- How do I create a community?
- Really easy – login and click on the communities section. Once there, click the "start your own community" link at the bottom of the page. You can then fill out all of the information about the community, upload a photo, and start inviting your friends to join!
- How do I leave a community?
- It's no problem – simply login and click on the communities section, find the community you want to leave (under the "my communities" heading), and click "leave".
Quickies
- What is a Quickie?

A quickie is a fun way to let someone know that you are thinking about them!
Go ahead and kiss, hug, punch, tap, slap, wink, high five, flirt, lick, or tickle
your Zemble friends. Also, you can send Quickies to other people on Zemble whom
you might like to meet.
If you are friends with the person you want to send a quickie to, they will
receive their quickie as a text message (by default).
If you aren't friends yet, the person you want to send a quickie to will
receive their quickie as an email (by default).
Everyone can change what kind of notifications they receive for quickies on their
account settings page to decide weather they'd
like to receive an email, a text message, both, or neither.
- What kind of spam-protection do you offer in reguards to Quickies?

We value your privacy, and understand that you may not want to receive Quickies from
people you don't know, or perhaps from anyone! If someone who isn't your friend yet
sends you a Quickie, they won't be able to send you another one until
you approve, or reply-to the first Quickie they sent. If one of your friends sends you a Quickie,
they'll need to wait at least an hour, or until you reply, before they can send you
another.
Also, if someone who isn't your friend yet sends you a Quickie, it won't be sent as
a text message unless you would like it to. You can change what kind of notification
you'll receive for your Quickies from your account
settings page.
- Can I block Quickies from a speciific person?

Yes. If someone has sent you a Quickie and you don't want to receive any more from
that person, you can block future Quickies from them by clicking the block button
next to the Quickie on your home page.
- Can I block all Quickies?

Yes. You can turn off all Quickie notifications from your
account settings page.
Managing My Zemble Account
- I forgot my password – what can I do?
- Go to the forgot password page and fill out the form to have us text you your password.
- How can I change my password?
- Just login, and go to the account settings page. There, you can change your password!
- How do I delete my account?
- Login, and go to the account settings page. At the bottom of the page, you will see a link that says “I No Longer Want To Use Zemble – Delete My Account”. Just as a warning – if you delete your account, and later want to join again, you will have to start from scratch.
- What can I do if I change my phone number?
- Just login, and go to the account settings page. There, you can enter in a new phone number. To activate your new phone number, we will text message you a security code that you will be prompted to enter on the Zemble.com website. You won't be able to send messages to your Zemble friends until your new phone number has been activated.
- It looks like my account has been suspended – what do I do?
- We don’t suspend accounts lightly – if your account has been suspended, its probably because you either posted prohibited content, harassed other users, or engaged in spamming activity. If you just made a mistake and have mended your ways, you can wait a month and try to join again. Just remember, if you are trying to use Zemble to send spam or post prohibited content, we are VERY good at catching abusers VERY quickly.
